The ending… Confused me? It's not memetic, it just shifts the way you think. Even if you, say, disagree with the findings in some way.
Yeah, see, this is why I posted the draft before even considering adding it to the main site. :P
I was afraid that this would happen. I removed a lot of information that I had in my original original draft, in order to keep it from getting overly wordy and add to the "this thing is memetic and can't be copied" feel. I originally explained much more about what was in the notebooks and why it was dangerous. I decided that, for this draft, I'd go with "less is more" and see if it worked, if people would pick up on what the hidden file actually meant. But it's apparently too subtle, so that one out of every three people who have replied to this thread isn't getting it. Not a good track record.
The idea that I'm going for here is that these equations, and this argument for a certain code of ethics, is actually objectively correct, and provably so. Objective morality exists, and can be known by humans - but it isn't necessarily what you think it is, and it isn't necessarily anything that we might recognize as "good" from our current viewpoint. It also isn't necessarily bad, either. I'm going for a definite Blue and Orange Morality thing here.
Also move the first paragraph towards the end of the description.
First paragraph of what?
And thanks for the rest of your comments as well. Very helpful.
