If you havin' writing problems, I feel bad for you son.
I got 99 ideas and I can't write a single one.
Anyway. I was hoping someone could tell me if any of these ideas are worth writing.
The Cloud Civilization: Humanoid creatures made out of water vapor and oxygen that roam throughout the atmosphere in a nomadic civilization. They consume gases around them, especially argon and CFCs, and have been having a mass die-out in recent years due to the rarity of argon and the fact that we stopped using CFCs due to the ozone thing.
Uncool: An AWCY piece of graffiti depicting the end of the world that causes feelings of depression and nihilism when viewed; someone was a smartass about it and vandalized (can you vandalize vandalism?) it with the messages "STOP TRYNG N U WILL BE", somehow cancelling out the anomalous effect.
Hell Township:A town in Rural Ohio that's completely abandoned and… haunted or something by Satanists. The idea here is that the more urban legends people believe about this town, the more fucked-up it becomes.
Poison Placebo: Factory-made placebos that act as toxins from cyanide to botulism, despite not actually containing any poison.
Murphy's Engine: A primitive computer similar to the analytical engine, but used for probability calculations, made to predict disasters. It always returns the disaster asked about as a very high chance of happening (anywhere from 5:1 to 1:1). Trouble is… this even works for impossible disasters. (Will a volcano erupt and spew kittens everywhere tomorrow?). And then someone asks it about an XK class disaster, which it returns as 0:0…
Any of those seem appealing?
