Hey Guys, i'm new here, my name is Obi Sims and my first SCP (SCP-1656) has gotten bad reviews and i was wondering if someone can give me some pointers to what i may be doing wrong.

Check the comments on the page, there are plenty of people telling you what's wrong with your piece.
However, as a general rule it's a very, very bad idea to post to the site before either posting a link to a sandbox draft on the forums or in the chat so you can get a reasonable critique BEFORE putting it up for official review. Best to do that next time.
Be aware that most first SCPs fail, and that's not a bad thing. The important part is learning from it and improving in the future.
Oh, and also? Never, ever, ever, EVER upvote your own article. EVER. That's exceptionally poor form on your part and makes people lose respect for you.

Oh and as for the upvoting, i misunderstood what it meant.
I was under the impression that upvoting was using multiple accounts to do it, i've cancelled my vote, cheers.
