Alright, let's take a look at what we have here…
Safe (Change to Keter pending.)
I've read the draft twice and I cannot for the love of me figure out why this would be changed to Keter. Is it because other, similar trees are being found? It doesn't seem like too much a problem.
All Interviews
No need to capitalize "interviews."
residents hearing a, "voice in their head".
residents hearing a "voice in their head."
After investigations by Foundation Agents were held, SCP-XXXX was confirmed anomalous.
No duh. That's why it's contained by the Foundation. I'd suggest deleting this sentence, and moving the whole paragraph about discovery until AFTER you describe why it's anomalous.
it's mentioned that it's a tree and will become unresponsive after repeated statements involving its appearance.
It's go with "it is" over "it's," as contractions are not exactly good in a clinical document.
Hello I am Doctor Omnia, how are doing SCP-XXXX.
"Hello, I am Doctor Omnia. How are you doing, SCP-XXXX?"
This is also close to the point where I would downvote. I think I'm gonna skip the LBL from here on and talk about the interview/sapience aspect in the 'overall.'
Overall: I didn't feel like there was much to this one? It just seems like a ghost stuck inside a tree. We get something of the "object/anomalous entity/whatever else thinks it's a human by the name of _ but actually human is dead" genre pretty often. And there really wasn't enough to this to get me interested in any aspect — there wasn't enough to the anomaly (telepathic tree) to be catch my attention, there wasn't enough to Ben to make him interesting, and there wasn't enough to the ending to give it any kind of oomph.
Ben's character, especially, was incredibly weak. There's just not enough to him — he reads like a cardboard cut out of everything we would expect from a kid that committed suicide. All we really get is that he was struggling in school, he wants to be called by his name, and he somehow still thinks he's human. That's not much of a character, surround by not much of a story.
