SCP Foundation

Inspired by cold war canon I am interested in writing tales and scps located in Greece during the cold war. Maybe even before that during the balkan wars for instance.

Since I am a newbie and I am still getting my bearings in Foundation history and lore any pointers as to early foundation lore,what came before the Foundation even is much needed and appreciated.
I am also curious as to if anyone is actually interested in such an undertaking. Greece during the cold war era was an extremly violent and dangerous place to be(civil war political instability and in the end a military junta) but it might be boring to some. I have other ideas etc and ill be happy to discuss them in the thread.

Lastly is anyone interested creating a European pre foundation list of fictional organizations and a sort of fictional timetable that dealt with what we have come to know as SCP and anomalous situations?Organizations that the Foundation absorbed in a sense? Is there such a thing already?

This is a pretty ambitious take. Not only would you have to address how the pre-foundation organizations came to exist, you’ll also have to explain how they were able to cope with said anomalies due to their current technological capabilities. I for one, am not inclined to mingle with this concept, but there is still potential. Maybe, if you are this enthusiastic, you can create it so that it can help to explain the creation of various mythologies, such as how a Pre-era SCP May have been interpreted into legends and myths.

in some SCP canons the foundation has apparently been around since at least the 1600s-1700s (to my knowledge, i believe?)

some other canons may claim that the foundation has simply always existed.

while I like the idea of precursors to the foundation pulling off the idea effectively would require you to choose or create a canon that explicitly states that the foundation did not exist before so and such date.

i am unsure how far back exactly you intend to go, but you mention Greece in the Cold War era, and from what I've seen on the site the Cold War era is a heavily referenced era in most Foundation canons and the era in which it started in some of them. so an idea like this may have to be moved back further in the past
