Not exactly from when I was a kid, but I don't recall any of my childhood dreams/nightmares. About every other week, I have a rather disturbing dream, recurring for about the last 6 or 7 years. Not exactly nightmare fuel material, or anything, but I always wake up incredibly uneasy, and am usually uncomfortable in my head for the rest of the day.
I'm good ol' Farmer Whatever, complete with wheat stalk hanging out of the mouth, big floppy hat, and a sack full of my "produce" hanging at my hip. I'm walking through nice and even rows of my crops, which all seem to be tiny feet poking up out of the ground. I inspect the feet as I pass, poking them, giving little tugs, whatever, and occasionally find the ripe ones ready for harvest. A quick tug on a foot, and out comes a baby, covered in soil, screaming from the act of being uprooted from its comfortable spot in the soil. I smile at the fruits of my labor, smash the baby's head against a nearby rock, shove it in my sack, and proceed to the next one, as if smashing children's heads against rocks is totally a thing, and totally normal for farmers to be doing.
As I said, not exactly terrifying, but it unnerves me to no end.
