Just an idea I drafted up now, I'll fix all the gramatical errors and shizznit later I'd just like to know if it's a good idea worth working on for the time being.
Just a note, it's courteous (and in the end, just a good idea) to make sure whatever you ask people on this site to take a look at has proper grammar and formatting—you're also more likely to get taken seriously if you do so. The standard here is set pretty high, and simple grammatical errors can and will irk people reading over drafts and ideas.
Sorry, but I can't say that it's a good idea. The effects are questionable and confusing, and it really just seems like a conglomerate of several unrelated aspects. I like the notion that only certain animals can perceive it, but writing an article about something like this would be extremely difficult because unless you're able to provide reasonable explanations for exactly how the Foundation managed to uncover so much information about an object that they can't even see without the aid of technology or touch (which is pretty over the top in itself), it would fall apart rapidly.
Edit: minor clarification
Okay I'll try to recover it as best I can, It is a 1st draft after all I'm sure it can be turned around.
Hmm. Cubes are discouraged… perhaps take a look at the list of overdone SCP cliches. Also, do you mean canines?
It's not a cube it's approximately that volume, i could mention that it was measured using water displacement. Even with aided assistance we only get a distorted look at it, I first wrote that it was a star tetrahedron but i don't wanna bring any kind of new age religion stuff into this. Do you have any recommendations otherwise? and yes I did I'll fix it right away.
This would definitely be problematic for the Foundation, especially in regards to containment. As such, I can't say at this moment that this SCP would succeed.
What I'm trying to imply is that it's perfectly tangible, you could leave it in a room but it wont phase through a wall or do anything that greatly defies the laws of physics, I'd say (although I don't like to say it outright) that there's probably something memetic about it that humans can't perceive it.
Seems like just an anomalous item, albeit a rather strange one, but not really an SCP.
maybe, but i'd like to think that the sheer number of them makes them something that needs to be worried about. If worse comes to worst I'll make it an anomalous item.
Well I could always add a recovery report, but we've only developed this level of technology in the last couple of centuries, these could have been around for ages, implied that they've been here long enough that the wolves have adapted to them. I was trying to make a link as to why dogs are called "man's best friend" because they protect us from them, it's still a work in progress I'll figure out the specifics soon, as for the radiation part i'll get rid of it, i was gonna make it seem like a nuclear threat but it's already got enough to it.
This seems unnecessary
It's just to show that these things are ever present, and they are everywhere, and could have been everywhere since the start of anything, thats why we need to capture them so we can understand why they're there and why humans specifically can't see them, but if it's over the top that can be changed
This seems lackluster. Also, if the cube thing is impossible for humans to discern, how did it block moonlight?
it blocks light perfectly fine the animals can all perceive it but for us it just looks like a normal night.
