Does anyone know why Thread is locked at the moment? Maybe I'm just missing something, but I've got no idea why it's locked.
A member of staff locked it, I believe.
If you want specifics, I'd suggest asking on the IRC chat or PMing an admin if you're really curious.
Just my personal perspective, but Thread was getting a little out of hand (though granted, 1802 posts is pretty impressive) and as such I don't think it really merits a forum thread (lol puns) for itself.
It was a place to let fun out. Why lock it if its not causing any harm? It's stopping fun from overflowing and flooding the forum and killing all the serious.
If every website and/or wiki on the internet had their own Thread, the internet would be a much less annoying place.
EDIT: Imagine if Conservapedia had a Thread. (Actually, just don't. Just avoid the site.)
I don't know for sure, but one of two things happened:
1: Auto-locked with the new year.
2: Staff locked it because of the flood of Thread in recent posts.
So since I was the last person to post in Thread before its closing, does that mean I win the Foundation?
Who made Thread's 2000th post was to have SCP-2000, however that isn't happening, so you have SCP-2000.
You clearly are underestimating the fact that Smapti has won Thread.
No, he's won SCP-2000.
Does that mean that since he posted SCP-999-J, it wins best SCP?
