Before my application to join the site was accepted, I wrote an SCP; the concept I thought was ok, but it definitely needed a bit of work. However, my laptop then died, and I lost the article, which I had stupidly not backed up.
The basic idea is a big pool of blood and gore, that instantly dissolves and absorbs any animal life that comes within a metre or so of it. It can move around on its own, through unknown means, and the more it has absorbed, and the greater its mass, the faster it can move. Within the mass of miscellaneous body parts, a cylindrical object has been detected, although the scip repels any non-organic matter away from it.
The containment procedures are basically a standard cell with drains in the corners, and pumps that can be remotely activated to suck away parts of the scip in case it gets too big. However, removing parts of the bloody 'coating' takes tremendous amounts of force, and as such the Foundation has not yet been able to reveal the object at the centre.
Any constructive criticism and advice would be much appreciated, as this is my first SCP.
Thanks in advance,
