I was reading the talk page for 933 and Lay Ware (the writer) mentioned that it's based on a childhood fear… which reminded me of a childhood dream; giant mosquitoes. Basically they're about a foot long, buzz around, land on your head, and pierce your skull with their probosces. To what end? I don't know- giant bugs that stab you in the head are scary enough to a five year old so I never really wondered what they might want.
Obviously, just feeding is too meh, and we've got stuff like that already. Trying to communicate via the victim (via taking control of his speech centers) seems… slightly better, but I don't know what they might have to say. Taking control of the human's entire body is too reminiscent of The Puppetmasters, just with mosquitoes instead of slugs.
Any thoughts or ideas? Does anyone see any potential in this (I know it's pretty sparse, but it's an idea that's stuck with me for 23 years, so that's something) or should I just scrap it?
