Okay, so i have this idea for an SCP and would like some feedback. First of all, it would be a type of parasite capable of shooting microscopic , airborne spores. However , when the SCP is completely submerged in water, the spores can not be released ( which will be it's Special Containment Procedures ) . The spores enter into the human brain through any tear or abrasion in the skin. The spore will attach itself to the brain stem , but will not reach full growth potential for approximately 3 days. During the growth phase , it is completely unnoticable by the host. However , once fully grown, the host will begin to experience a slight itch in the base of the skull. The SCP is capable of accessing the parts of the brain we normally wouldnt be able to use on our own. In doing so, the SCP significantly raises the I.Q of the host. The host will become so intelligent, he/she will find it almost impossible to form any form of relationship with any other person, as most other people will seem far less intelligent. Eventually the person will start to question all things, even down to the very aspect of life, eventually causing insanity, and in some cases , suicide. Now , this part i'm a little bit shaky on. I would also like some suggestions for reproduction of the SCP. Thanks!

I'm not too keen on it. Parasite + crazy to death, with not much else. I like the detail about it not working underwater, but I'd still suggest scrapping the whole thing. Sorry.
Not only is it a parasite that crazies you to death, it's also based on a false idea:
