An unknown number of SCP-XXXX specimens are currently not in containment.
THANK YOU for not saying it's uncontainable!

Common foodstuffs from where? Common food from India isn't the same as common food in America.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a species of organisms outwardly identical to humans when in their developed form. Specimens of SCP-XXXX are sentient, can speak, and possess intelligence on par with humans. They completely lack empathy however, and possess several internal organs not found in the human body, with unknown functions.
So, it's 939, but less scary.
Specimens of SCP-XXXX will attempt to blend in with human populations and avoid notice, often successfully, since they can only be distinguished from humans via surgery or DNA tests. Their lack of empathy is easily mistaken for human sociopathic behavior.
Okay, yeah, no. This sounds suspiciously like the way someone would describe Asperger's syndrome. If you're implying that people with Aspergers are secretly this…
SCP-XXXX is a genderless species, though each specimen appears to be either male or female. At around 20 years of age, a specimen of SCP-XXXX will start reproducing asexually, giving birth to one offspring every 5 years. The gestation period lasts only one week, but the gestation and birth is very taxing for the parent, who can lie unconscious for days afterwards.
Gender = sexual identity. You mean that they're a sexless species… which is also clearly not the case as they can reproduce, and therefore have some kind of sexual characteristic. Single-celled organisms reproduce asexually; when it's a multicellular organism doing it, it's called parthenogenesis. And if they reproduce, they're at least hermaphroditic.
A newborn specimen of SCP-XXXX is similar in size to a newborn human, has grey, wrinkly skin, patches of fur across the body, sharp claws and teeth, and light blue eyes. It is fully capable of locomotion immediately after birth.
Animals that learn to walk immediately are usually prey animals, and have to learn to walk right out of the womb because they don't wanna git eaten. If it's humanoid, then it should have to learn how to walk.
The young specimen will avoid detection and seek out a human infant of 0 to 2 years of age. It can move almost soundlessly and squeeze through very small openings, so entering a home undetected poses no problem. If an infant cannot be found within 2 to 3 days, the specimen dies and rapidly decays.
How small is very small? How big is the thing? Does it have a flexible skeletal structure? Does it bend time and space to get through small openings? This isn't the kind of detail that would be left out of an SCP Report.
Once a suitable human infant has been found, the SCP-XXXX specimen hides and waits for the infant to fall asleep and be left alone. Then it quietly kills the infant with a bite to the throat, and proceeds to devour it entirely. Even bloodstains and hairs are consumed, leaving no trace of the victim.
Yeah, I call bullshit. Any normal infant that's less than 2 years old cries throughout the night, and even if it doesn't, the parents are going to wake up if they hear something odd. How would they hear something? There's a little invention called a BABY MONITOR. Think, McFly!
The SCP-XXXX specimen then undergoes a transformation, as its appearance changes to perfectly resemble the human it just devoured. The whole devouring and transformation process takes 1 to 2 hours. Following this, the specimen takes the place of its victim and goes to sleep. Over the following years, it will develop as a normal human, and be raised by the dead infant’s parents, who believe it to be their child and notice no difference.
This is literally the exact opposite of a much better SCP, SCP-939. Infant instances of 939 are raised as human, and develop into monsters. These are monsters that turn into normal children and are raised as human. I'm willing to bet that this thing regurgitates its young, too.
