What have I become,
My sweetest friend?
Everyone I know
Goes away, in the end.
And you could have it all…

You… you motherfucker.
To be honest, not quite to my taste. It's a bit too unlikely, a bit too soap-opera tragedy. Also, I'm surprised the Foundation doesn't have anyone my sympathetic and persuasive on retainer to be the ambassador to the 089 family.
The King Crowned in Shame does not allow the unwashed masses into his service.
For remember, as the Prophet Alan once howled:
"Moloch! Moloch! Nightmare of Moloch! Moloch the loveless! Mental Moloch! Moloch the heavy judger of men! Moloch, whose guts are men and his shit their works!"
Well done - I sure didn't expect this (before reading the draft in chat , anyhow) and there's a thousand neat details i like. Like, Mary-Ann having enough cultural awareness to compare 610 to the flood, 610 living in Daevite lands …the sacrifice of draft mammoths…
Also , Daevites clearly have a knack for worshipping everything vile and disgusting out there, don't they.
Well, those are the ones that seem to get shit done, so I'd just call it pragmatism.
Did you really sneak a fucking Soulberg reference into this?
Also, great, much improved, very well done, etc. +1
The Foundation universe, in my eyes, is equal parts horror and absurdity, and half of the horror comes from the absurdity. So yes. I did sneak a SoulBerg reference into this. And Darkblade. Because I needed dudes with swords.
Is Darkblade the fourth blade because April is the fourth month, or am I reading too much into it?'
Also, am I wrong to think you intended the Wonder-Maker to be a prototypical Dr. Wondertainment? Is the Nothing-in-All a reference to the deleted All in Nothing, or whatever the sphere that likes worship was called? I get some of the other references (King-in-Scarlet, Mother of Them All, the Hanged King), but am a bit lost on some of the others. Would you be willing to elucidate?
You're reading too far into that one.
Wonder-Maker is Wondertainment in an older, trickster-god form. The Nothing-In-All is 055. The Eternal Texts are 582. Carthac, Molug, and Gothog can be whoever you want them to be, really, though the first of those is based somewhat off of a acip in the tale Guard Duty. I was struggling for things to fill slots, you see.
