Forget Me Not Bear drastically has been changed, and I've added different elements. I just need a good reviewing, and for people to find plot holes and grammar errors that I couldn't see myself.
Won't do a full review but I'll point out some issues I have with this draft.
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is stored in a standard containment cell secured by combination lock. No further containment procedures required.
That's it? Just keep it in a cell with a combination lock? No changing the combination every month or so? No security clearance necessary? Nothing to do to prevent a containment breach? No need of keeping it away from anything that may obliterate Site-[insert number here]? (Don't actually use that idea)
While you don't need to put like 100 procedures to keep this object contained, you need to put more details than just lock it up. Otherwise it's just boring.
When given as a gift to a SCP-XXXX will animate and follow the receiver when not being directly observed.
To who? You mean to the partner of the person who is receiving the gift? Be sure you reread your own drafts before you post them to avoid mistakes like that. And while I don't mind objects moving when not being viewed, say it in a way that doesn't sound like SCP-173, because there are people who are gonna downvote your article for that even though it relates little to 173's abilities. Just say that SCP-XXXX would appear in random places where the receiver would least expect it.
It shows potential sentience as it also will do what it can to prevent the couple from leaving each other.
First, it's sapience. Second, that's a pretty retarded way to prove its sapience. Just because something prevents someone from doing an action like leaving one's partner doesn't mean the object is sapient.
Just because something prevents someone from doing an action like leaving one's partner doesn't mean the object is sapient.
If you read the diary entry, it gives a clearer explanation of how it demonstrates is sapience. As for everything else, I see ya. But again, Diary entry explains how it moves.
Also, it only needs simple containment because it doesn't vanish through walls. I know that isn't clarified yet in the documentary. I'm just working on THIS bit right now. I want to know if it seems like something people would really put in their diary and stuff. I want to make sure this half is believable before moving on to the next.
