So I came in here a while ago with a terrible idea for an SCP and just kind of canned that project. I've recently been inspired to write a new one after being creeped out by seeing a Shadow on the ceiling of my girlfriend's room. I couldn't see what was casting the shadow and the shadow kept getting darker and lighter because of my girlfriends laptop having a pulsing light on it. Just kind of creeped me out.
Anyway, I've been trying to write this SCP but so far I've just struggled with it. It just isn't right. I'm trying to write containment procedures and to me it seems muddled and just not right but I'm not sure how to fix it. Same with the start of the description, it seems too muddled. Just need some feedback and help with how I should improve it.
This is a very early draft and no where near completed. Just I don't feel happy about writing anymore until I've gotten these first bits written out. Any help is appreciated.
Summary of the SCP: A shadow with nothing is casting it and under low light or no light it will expand rapidly. Anyone that comes into contact with it seems to be absorbed (not sure if I'm happy with people being absorbed either) by the shadow. Due to it being a shadow, it cannot be moved, destroyed or communicated with. I put it as Keter due to the fact that if the lights go out, it will expand rapidly, absorbing anyone in its path and it's not known if it will stop expanding unless under a bright light source.
Again any feedback is appreciated, if it's a terrible idea let me know and I'll either try and refine it or can it but I'm just kind of stuck on how to write this at the moment.
