I could only picture the young man as the Vault boy.
That's a good thing for me.
2119 is just 38 years after the last chronological story - wouldn't 60-70 years be better? Otherwise it would be a pretty apocalyptic decade inbetween.
The tales all take place in whatever timeline you want them to, I wanted the canon to be pretty open.
In one timeline, for instance, time doesn't go past Y2K.
That being said, you can still arrange them linearly on what you perceive to be one continuous timeline.
I'm honestly not quite sure what you are saying. Do you mean that these stories have only the most basic idea in common, with no apparenty continuity? That'd be a shame, honestly.
What I meant to say was that - given linear arrangement - the previous story took place in 2081 and a total civilisation breakdown and opening of the Foundation to public knowledge would mean a pretty apocalyptic decade in the 2020s/2030s. And hey, there's still 900 years left until the pleasant existance failure, so it seems to me a bit too soon for such a drastic change.
This one makes me think of a world on its way to the Bellerverse. I mean, I realize that's a different canon, but the disintegrated world feeling I get… I like it.
+1
Belleverse could take place a thousand years in the future in a timeline where everything mostly stabilizes (I hint at this in part 2). Unfounded takes place during the milder parts of Rat's Nest. That's my headcanon, anyway.
