SCP-1384 was found inside a tunnel two hundred feet
Otherwise, I like it a lot. The supplementary document really makes it; I was kinda "meh" until I got to all the rules. Now I'm guessing about what would happen if he got out, who devised these rules, etc. And when an SCP leaves me thinking, I upvote it, so here ya go. +1
Why can I not help but think of Good Omens?
"God does not play dice with the universe; He plays an ineffable game of His own devising, which might be compared, from the perspective of any of the other players [i.e. everybody], to being involved in an obscure and complex variant of poker in a pitch-dark room, with blank cards, for infinite stakes, with a Dealer who won't tell you the rules, and who smiles all the time.” "
FRICK, I also just realized something.
Writing about it.
Writing about it, and documenting it, HAS to give it some advantadge.
That's one of the reasons it felt it would get out sooner if we kept trying to contain it.
That's why the Vicar, despite his apparent desire to keep the entity contained (and knowing what he did from the hint, his ability to DRIVE IT BACK a bit), didn't leave any notes. Why wouldn't he leave notes, if he was interested in keeping it stuck? At the very least, to aid whoever followed him? Because writing about it, documenting it, gives it some sort of advantage.
