An interesting article. I feel like I might be missing something about what exactly makes Dr. Wright visible, but it was good nonetheless. It's almost like an anomalous version of prosopagnosia.
Same here. I'm having trouble putting two and two together right now; why did spcifically Dr. Edgeworth Wright vanish?
The way I see it, Wright isn't human. He is something pretending to be human, and he's very, very good at it. So good, in fact, that when normal people look like skeletons, he still maintains a perfect facade. Once Saffron blows his cover, he disappears before the Foundation could find out what he is.
Well now that just seems obvious.
I had to read it a second time to get this; but, it's so obvious in retrospect that I have to conclude it's due to me being dense. Good work.
Your tone kinda falls apart in the last addendum, but otherwise it's kinda interesting. I don't know why it is that still being able to see Dr. Wright freaks her out so much. I would think she'd see it as a relief… is there something I'm missing?
Right now this seems really simple to me. The little twist at the end has me wondering, but I'm not sure what I'm wondering about…
Neutral for now. I'll try and revisit later.
See post above. You just squeaked into +1 territory on deeper reflection. Interesting that Dr. Wright is really the focus with this SCiP.
The twist here really nails it. The interview tones are kind of weird, but with Wright's twist, i can overlook them as hints to his anomaly.
For reference, here's where the tone botherewd me a bit: "Holy hell, you are weird, ain’t ya, Saffron?" It doesn;t sound like somehting any pyschologist would say, but if that's the point, then it's a credit.
This is exactly the point. It sounds like a bad English dub of Anime. And considering Azzle's generally pretty good at dialogue, it stuck out to me.
We'll see how he responds to decide if it's intentional or if he deserves some more haranguing. :P
And here I thought that she finally saw Wright's skeleton and he had some sort of weird bone tumor and she was sad because he was going to die.
I like the more human aspect of this entry and am really glad it didn't turn into "torture the anomalous humanoid" or "the anomalous humanoid gained our trust and then ate our dogs."
I was expecting rape. Thing about it. She couldn't tell the difference between two skeletons right? That kind of power is ripe for abuse.
Rape is not a subject that's much tolerated around here; virtually every article that tries to use it to any effect ends up, at best, crass and tasteless, and more often flatly offensive.
Even ignoring that, this girl's whole schtick is her inability to interact with human flesh, so why exactly was this your first expectation?
You know, I was initially going to post here about the not-being-able-to-tell-people's-bones-apart thing being a neat parallel to the experience I have in real life as someone suffering from prosopagnosia, but thanks for feeding my anxiety about potentially being assaulted and not being able to ID the perpetrator.

I do what I can.

Because the 'doctor' comes off extremely creepily, and her sudden change in demeanor reminded me of a rape victim's trauma.
I do what I can.
That's not the way you respond to someone who you just caused emotional duress, intentionally or no. You are, of course, perfectly free to express your opinion regarding the article and your thoughts on it, but you are not allowed to flippantly respond to people you made uncomfortable like that. Do not let this sort of behavior repeat itself.
