Hey all! I’m curious about the different musical tastes of this community, as well as trying to find some other music-makers other than just myself and the few that I know of. I answered the survey, though we should probably also promote discussion, so here's a post. The more I listen to music, and I listen to music every god damn day, the more I find that "folk" makes everything better. Folk punk, folk metal, folk… electronica, if that's really what you can call Age of Adz by Sufjan Stevens, and just straight up folk. It's like, seriously awesome. Though I will say that I have found things in most genres that I enjoy. Tastes are diverse, and when you separate yourself from a genre-specific fandom, you can find things that you enjoy that you'd never thought you liked.

Music fuels the soul and everyone should get into it. Highly recommended.

I legit don't have a favorite genre. My Pandora has stations for virtually every genre besides pop country and every station gets some listening time. The only music (besides pop country) that doesn't get any playtime from me is stuff with lyrics not in English, and that's because I know I can't properly appreciate it.

I love doing karaoke, tho.
