I wonder if he could pick anything up from SCP-172…
I was thinking, since SCP-139 is now that demon skull of semen-carnage-rape, I'm thinking it mentioning Saint 'enjoys talking to it' seems a little odd :X
… not sure if any other change inconsistancies remain, but if allowed I'd be willing to go through and revise…
Slight edit. Took me long enough to remember about this …
Should there be some discussion of examining the effects of SCP-148 (the "Telekill" Alloy) on SCP-182? Though it appears that "Telekill" inhibits more empathic based perceptions rather then classic telepathy, such an alloy may have an effect on 182 and further the Foundation's knowledge of psychic abilities.
Testing SCP-172 and SCP-148 with Saint here would be pretty interesting, but I don't think his original author is still around, so I guess it'd be up to Dr. Gear and 142's author if they wanted to add more addendums to 182 and elaborate on those topics …
I really hate this one.
(like the addendums are good but…can we just data expunge everything having to do with his personality? and how pretty he is. and the mysterious smiles. God! He like mysteriously smiled ten times in this article! And the lame crushes!
I am really repulsed at how many human SCP writing rules the orignal starting document breaks.)
Seconded. He just feels like… Big Slashy Self Insert. OMG, Able and Saint, Twu Wuv!
Admin, SCP Wiki
I think Saint's existence and relationship with Able are important for two reasons:
- Able becomes canonically unavailable for relationships with other characters (i.e.: Mary-Sue self-inserts) in addition to being utterly uninterested, thus preventing the creation of mounds of bad fan fic.
- Due to the telepathic, never-met-in-person nature of the relationship, Abel/Saint porn is canonically impossible, thus preventing the creation of even more mounds of bad fan fic (or fan art).
Granted, the part of SCP-076's entry that reads
Concepts such as sex, love and equality are completely foreign ideas to SCP-076-2, or at least in comparison to its way of viewing them. Subject has shown that it is completely disinterested in sex, barely differentiating between genders except as a form of visual identification.
should put a stop to such things anyway, but having both Able's nature and another character in the way of such works probably helps.
Agreed, though, about the whole "mysteriously smiled" thing. I think it'd sound better if the entry just said "had no further comment" or something.
I've been meaning to fix him up for a long time, since the original author completely disappeared.
I like Saint though :(
Saint: Low Smiling now Available!
… I took another stab, am determined to fix this guy up.
Fixed an improperly-used semi-colon, replacing it with the colon that should have been placed there instead.
