The original idea is a series of mural paintings in latin america that, when seen, will attract one of the onlookers to it and absorve them into the painting making them a new coloured form to add to the design of the painting.
I'd like to know ways of making it way more interesting~
The whole part of different thmes and people adding to the making of new paintings sounds great to me.
The paintings cannot be scrubed in the original painting parts since doing so would cause the mural painting to re-locate somewhere else always public.
Now I'm thinking of the people that are worthy, that they are added to the painting as parts of the designe making it better than it was before…and that in someway, discovered through experimentation, the pieces can be scrubbed off…the form and colour they are can be taken out as a 3D object which will have different consistency depending on the form it was. Many interesting experimentes could be done as you said Tom
Since the oirignal idea for the Entity is that it considers this paintings as "gifts", what if those who are Unworthy…were turned into a zombie-like state of numbness? and will try to walk to the closest "paint bucket"? This would be a hidden hole somewhere close to the mural into which the Unworthy will submerge to be "useful at something", and be consumed by the liquid. If you take a spoon of the liquid it will gain a radom colour upon leaving the original liquid mass, because this is the "paint" the entity uses to create the inicial mural.
Edit: Oh….the response appeared on top? Okay, sorry.
If you want to keep with the themes of the mural, the ones that mural rejects could suffer some sort of affliction related to the theme of the mural they try to integrate, like losing the ability to love or being consumed with hate. The idea of dissolving into paint is good too, just throwing more ideas in the mix.
Hmm! How about if the "Contributors" to the painting, when they resonate with the mural theme, because it is the strongest concept of themselves, they give that part of themselves that theme…and are left without the most important identifying piece of their identity…
And if they scrub it out, it will be an "object" like it was in the mural and will have certain consistency and all that, but as long as you touch you will get a sensation like the one it is made of… So some contributors go everywhere holding that thing because its the only way they can feel it or make use of it (example, honesty)
At this point I think you should just take an idea and start a draft. I'm not sure being able to withdraw objects from the mural is as strong as simply having every person contributing something to the mural. Plus people wouldn't know to scrub the mural in the first place.
If you make it non-lethal, but keep with the theme of giving, it could be that the contributor doesn't lose completely what he contributed, like he can't express it as intensely as before. However, anyone viewing the mural will feel whatever the Contributor gave?
Maybe those who scratched the painting in despair actually scrub it off, but it would only be a few that did it. And only intense situations that evoque that feeling or concept would be enough to make the Contributor express it, because they gave too much of it to the mural.
To the general public they will get the vibe of the mural just by looking at it, and always find it good or simply decent. Then there are those few individuals that resonate strongly with the painting and give a part when they phisically touch the mural.
Yeah, Ill start do the draft with this new inclination…should a post it here to see how it went? Or should I take it to the Drafts forum?

Drafts are reviewed in the Drafts and Critiques forum.
ETA: of note, since you already have a draft thread, please update that rather than creating a new thread. To request feedback again, you can go to the IRC chatroom and ask people there if they can reply to the forum thread, or message a staff member and ask them if they can direct chat attention to the thread.
Done!
I edited the thread to have the new draft with different descprition.
I want to try asking in the IRC chatroom but….I don't seem to understand how it works or how use it…technically I registered but I did no recieve a confirmation email…I've never used a chat lika that before so I dont know
If you can make it to #site17 here: http://05command.wikidot.com/chat
One of our chat operators can help you. Alternatively, try #thecritters chat.
That sounds like the kind of SCP that has a short description, but can have a long and interesting experimentation chart.
First off, can it be scrubbed? Even just partially, maybe there are some parts of the murals that are indelible, but the human additions can be removed. Would allow for extensive experimentation.
You can make it interesting if either each human added to the painting is added in a way that fit their personality
Different murals could have different themes, like vice, virtue, love, hate and when a human enter a specific mural, it could represent his personal aspect.
Otherwise, each mural could tell a story, but need people in order to tell it.
Completing murals could also cause anomalies to appear elsewhere, related to the mural.
You could also tie it with the group of interest Are we cool yet? That kind of thing is their style.

This could be a good track to work with. Might also lead into more of a reason behind the murals capturing people. Maybe the artist is seeking their ideal partner? The murals capture talented people who perfectly exemplify virtues, and if they're found "worthy", they join the artist in spreading the murals around? If they're deemed "unworthy", they're stuck in the murals so the artist doesn't have any competition for the mural space?
Completing murals could also cause anomalies to appear elsewhere, related to the mural.
I'm not too sure about this, since I feel like the article would be better presented if the focus was on the murals.
You could also tie it with the group of interest Are we cool yet? That kind of thing is their style.
As a note since I saw the original draft, the author has their own character they'd like to relate the anomaly to. Also, there are more anartists out there than just AWCY?, so there's no need to namedrop if the author is disinclined.
