Wanna try something more macabre here so this is what I'm laying out so far
The skip is a Skeleton dressed in the robes of a Middle Ages emperor, more specifically from the Holy Roman Empire.
Now there is nothing too impressive there, but I want to use that as a vessel for this story
The skeleton king was once the ruler of a then uncharted region of Central/Eastern Europe. His people were all similar to him, being cadavers of varying degrees of damage that retained sentience.
At first, the kingdom was relatively peaceful with only minor border conflicts with local tribes occuring every few years.
However, they were then subjected to invasions by the Daeva (or the golden horde as portrayed by the Foundation universe idk which would make sense in universe yet) in the mid 10th century. The kingdom was able to fend them off, but two decades later, they were invaded by a local scarlet king group. This invasion manages to completely wipe out the kingdom, killing or capturing all inhabitants sans the king. The king then vanished from the eye of even these ancient anomalous groups before being found again in the Imperial Crypt of Austria
Now my biggest concerns are
1. Should I give a bit more beef to the object itself as to keep readers interested or leave as is
And 2. How in character do I have the current GOIs that the kingdom will be invaded by? Should I establish a bit more lore to this kingdom by creating my own tribes to be invaded by them or keep it as is?
