Hi, I'm Po-ta-to. I'm new here, and I wish to contribute to this site, blah blah blah. I come from HK in Admiralty and I joined this site just to bleep maggots like you to write some articles. I have always liked writing, and now that I've got a fairly secure job I can spend some time to write.

It's great to hear that you're interested in writing for the site! This is belated, but you haven't already, make sure to create a sandbox page for yourself. Any drafts you write up should be placed there and shown to the IRC chat and/or the drafts forums for feedback prior to a mainsite post.

The chat is also a great place to hang out at and meet fellow Foundation personnel. You can get a feel for the real-time critique given there, and also toss around ideas with others. Furthermore, if you've got any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to PM me or another staff member.
