I personally think that this would be a good idea, especially if you could tie some GoIs into it (as you suggested).

By 'series', what exactly are you thinking? Writing tales following the same group/person, or perhaps writing a different tale about different MTF groups? For example, one tale could be on how Nine-Tailed Fox prepares for large-scale breaches, and then another on how Mole Rats prepares for spacial anomalies, for instance.

I don't know of any MTF training tales off the top of my head, so it could be a breath of fresh air.

They would go through physical training, doanomalous classwork and learn containment theories, practice fighting skills, and have both simulated and real evaluations against already known SCPs.

This sort of concept is going to be hard to build multiple tales on. Presenting any kind of classroom as consistently interesting is tough on its own, since it's going to be lectures or repetitive activity pretty frequently if it's a realistic depiction of education. This is especially true if it's education based on information readers already know (extant SCP articles,) or general knowledge based on the setting that readers have already internalized.

Maybe even a darker background story of the Foundation plucking one or two candidates out for "special" testing, only to have them appear later as anomalous soldiers themselves (I'm looking at you 2241). Maybe MC&D could have a plant in the facility to lure more monetary focused soldiers away from the Foundation into their own ranks. Or the Chaos Insurgency? Or the GOC?

These ideas feel very general, so I would have to hear more to say anything about them. I think good characters can carry pretty much any kind of plot, but I don't think any sort of betrayal/recruiting narrative is going to work well unless you introduce and flesh out those characters first. Otherwise the readers don't have much reason to care about their personal loyalties or fates. Relying on a GOI inclusion to carry that sort of tale would probably be a mistake for the same reason. If readers don't care about who's switching sides, the exact sides don't matter much.

We always see the end results of MTF influence, whether successful or not, but we have never seen how these soldiers are trained and hardened into the men and women that serve the Foundation needs.

It's unlikely they generally need to train raw recruits, since they can recruit trained operators.

They aren't grown out of vats or from trees…(or are they??!?!? Who knows??)

Do you have any experience with military training, besides the Hollywood version?

I do like the idea of watching a bunch of fresh faced recruits being turned into the badasses that we all love and respect. Especially if they are going to be rememorable which is something that you might struggle with.

If you want to do a double agent sort of style, you could consider a Serpent's Hand agent sneaking into this facility and start causing some trouble, which could lead our young recruits to face the dreaded SCPs that they helped contain. Maybe even have a moral conflict and watch this Serpent's Hand agent understand that, while the Foundation is jailing their friends and family, they would probably come to an understanding that they are doing this to protect humanity, not denying their knowledge but accepting and realising that the Foundation isn't that bad.

Of course what I said here is what you could consider for this series of tales. What you do with it is up to you but regardless, I'm in full support of this tale and look forward to what you can come up with.
