We've all heard the stories about the Florida Men. And we all know how ridiculous the joke SCP page is. But when I looked through it there was no Florida Man joke SCP. In my opinion, this should be fixed.

Basic Idea: SCP-FloridaMan-J is the entire American state of Florida and thus cannot be contained. Men who enter Florida are randomly subject to the effects of SCP-FloridaMan-J which cause them to preform extremely bizarre actions, usually during extreme circumstances and with disregard for common decency. Such actions include:

With all this happening, I still don't know how this hasn't been turned into a joke SCP. What do you all think? Yay or Nay?

Overall, I think this could do quite well as a joke SCP, particularly because some of the stuff that happens is just too crazy/weird/hilarious to be made up. This could be a Keter (actually, a one-off class would work quite well)(like the one-off class for Big Egg)(Florida Man class?). As for description, yours works quite well (men who enter Florida, at random, do bizarre actions). I could see an addendum which is a list of reported bizarre acts. Maybe structure it as a description, than a addendum/table, than maybe notes throughout the table with quick little reactions from researchers (etc. where the hell did he get goat blood?)
I found a few of my own online to add though:
-throwing an alligator through Wendy's Drive Through
-arrested after having [redacted] with a tree and calling himself Thor
-Trying to kiss a cottonmouth snake
-Trying to sell Iguanas taped to a bike as "dinner"
It was hard trying to seriously critique this without laughing. This is quite a good idea and I honestly think it would do well as a -j.

This could absolutely float as a -J but I think you have to go further than just making it "the whole state". Even though it's a J, you still have to go to (arguably even greater) lengths to show that this is something worthy. There's going to have to be more substance than zany happenings at random. Can you come up with a plan for that?

I don’t see a problem with it just being the state of Florida, but maybe make it more obvious that these sort of things only happen in Florida. I think the idea will work either way, though.

For what it's worth, one part of the Florida Man bit that I like is the notion that all these acts are actually perpetrated by just one individual man: Florida Man.

So that's another angle you could try and pursue here. (And, as you may be aware if you've already looked into it, I think it's actually something to do with Freedom of Information laws in the state that lead to so many such headlines. But that shouldn't get in the way of a good joke.)
