It is a previously unknown fungus that usually grows in forest areas, mountains, grasslands, deserts and other areas where foxes live. The fungus releases pheromones in the air that attracts adult foxes near it. Once the fox find it the fox will than eat it, in the next 2-5 weeks multiple instances of the fungus will start growing out of the foxes stomach and will burst through their skin. Despite this the fox will live until dehydration or starvation. Other foxes will be attracted to the fungus growing out of the original fox and will eat those to. Once the fox dies the fungus will also die and produce spores.
Other animals will not be attracted to the fungus but can still eat it and experience the same effects. This effect does not apply to humans because the fungus is shown to be poisonous to humans and will kill any human that eats it. The same effect goes for human like animals such as apes and monkeys.
