Hey, so the current replacement image for SCP-106's iconic "Emergence" photo isn't particularly well-received.

I've reached out to a pair of artists regarding a new image for it.

The second option is good, but what irks me is that it doesn't have its iconic vest or grin. Nonetheless, it is pretty good.

Though I appear to me in the minority, I actually think the current image is best from an artistic perspective, though I agree it doesn't look like an actual photo still. It would be nice if we could find some way to use it on the site.

Of the two options, I agree MrKlay's is the more realisitic, but I also share the concern that he's not smiling and is missing his vest. Radical Larry needs his biker vest, otherwise he's just regular Larry.

Nothing will match the feel of the old images, but I understand the fact they can't be used.

I'm torn on this one. On one hand, MrKlay's render looks more photorealistic and trurer to the original image. On the other hand, Dave Romero's art captures a creepier, more sinister aspect of 106.

Ultimately I would choose MrKlay's - but could I suggest maybe adding more of 106's corrosive substance to the wall? For 106 phasing through it, it still looks relatively clean.

Seems folks are very much in favor of the image submitted by MrKlay. Dude went the extra mile and took some user requests.

The image has been updated to include 106's corrosion, vest, and smile.
